At any rate the fact is that if music gets simple, it gets simple mes-
sages and gets people addicted to simple things. Ideals, aims, scores
are getting a strong knockdown! Politics and so much on is enve-
nom and toxic for music because it impoverishes the free feelings
music provide and turn itself into an hybrid that we cannot accept!
In conclusion we have to refugee from those who profess music
freedom because they are the ones who sold it out previously!
When we hear great interpreters like Arthur Rubinstein or Mauri-
zio Pollini we do not limitate ourselves to the music they play, but
also the words they used to describe those “muted” pieces!
Citing Rubinstein on Chopin’s music: “ Whilst we hear Chopin we
hear a universal language that is so lovely we could listening to it
for a life and never understand it completely”.
